Juxtaposition
stood between life and death,
and the cruel did not fail me,
and I did not fail me,
because we hold onto the truth,
the dead do whine before they die,
that much is true,
but you too will cry the day you die,
or the day you cannot hear,
because it ends in abrupt chaos,
we all meet our end,
But I stand besides the aisle,
and I watch as the body is carried,
and I watch as the body is buried,
and I hear you,
because I am stood between life and death,
and I can hear, too.
