I, You Implore!

My last poem for the month of June.

I stumbled into a poem

Rolled and rolled

Catching threads

Of a story

Watching

Waiting

For it to unfold

I picked apart it’s golden threads

Wrapped myself in it

Just like I was caught up

In a spiders web!

It told me of worlds

Where only the mystical

Live

I learned about heartbreak

And love

My eyes filled with stardust

And I danced with the gods!

I was taken on journeys

So wild

And carefree

I dodged the rude words

Til  my heart snuggled with beauty

And I learnt about doves

These wonderful poets

Imparted such wisdom

They shared the secret

To Life

While, all the while

I was being seduced

By the birds

And the bees

Carried away on the wind

I caught my breath

And allowed myself

To float on the breeze

I don’t want the falling

To end!

I want to keep tumbling

Have their words

Stick to my skin

I dream of a world

Where butterflies flutter

And the poetry of lovers

Drenches my soul

Oh, poets unite!

Wrap me in silk

Bring me in to your fold

It is with you

That I will gladly grow old!

Send me your sonnets

Teach me how to write!

Share with me

Your demons

And what keeps you

From sleeping at night

My soul is yours

I hold you in awe!

Let’s tango together

We will keep this life

In the raw!

I could keep on falling

For ever more

Please stop it

Dear poets

I, you implore!

Thank you Clare.

Your picture of falling reminds me of Alice in Wonderland tumbling down the rabbit hole.
I do love Tango music.
Try "El Huracan".

I love this one Clare, what a way to end the month! I particularly enjoyed this:

"My eyes filled with stardust
And I danced with the gods!
I was taken on journeys
So wild
And carefree"
