FIELD THEORY

Cut a line into half
and then half again,
this inevitably leads to the curve of infinity:
to that spike in the universal calculus
caused by a single boy’s once-upon-a-time enquiry
into the extraordinary to – ing and fro – ing of time and space.
This intricate lattice work of filigree and lace
through which gleams spark into memories,
are wrought of nothing more than figments of philosophy.
Along the geometric mean between
the size of an atom and the size of planet earth
is man, homo sapien.
Entwined in fragments of time in space,
assuming the passing majesties of blood and death and something inbetween
dreamtime comes with such singular jocularity
that passing quarks (worse for wear in their lonesome singularity!)
acquire their quiet dignity in the passing beauty of a pretty face
and, thus, drifts everything everlastingly into the future quiddity of  “art”,
Yes indeed! A falling down, and worlds apart.
