A Sheep Dogs Tale

In the darkness of my bedroom, I lay.
Prudence once more comes out to play.
What do we learn as guitars gently weep?
Piggies snorting away, help me to sleep.

Those Ukraine girls, help me to unwind.
The strange things in an onion you'll find!
John can't sleep, so he decides to sing!
Desmond buys for Molly a diamond ring.

Into the dark black night a black bird flies.
In the deep jungle, Bill is taken by surprise.
A gun fight in Dakota, that all went wrong.
Richard needn't have worried in his song!

For a long lost Mother, one beautiful ode.
You wouldn't catch me doing it in the road.
A sheep dogs tale, an inspiration for Paul.
A shooting of a gun, is it happiness for all?

Thank you...I always play that album at night and drifted off with those tracks on my mind!

A fine poem, Mike. Took me a while to work out all the references!
