As he walked away

I knew the words had to come out.

 

The pounding in my chest echoed in my ears. The lump in my throat stayed there.

I could not keep quiet any longer.

It weighed on my mind; i could not sleep.

 

I glared into your eyes,

Scared to say the truth.

I knew after that moment, 

You and i would never be the same.

 

Once i told you,

You didnt seem to understand.

You didnt seem to believe me.

 

But then reality kicked in.

I watched as you fell to the floor.

Your body shook in a way i had never seen before.

You kept repeating 'no' as i sat on your bed.

 

I felt as though i had ruined you.

I had changed you forever.

But it wasnt my fault.

 

I hope you can forgive me.
