Thoughts of a 19 year old on overcoming sadness
"Sadness can come along anytime, even when life is trouble free,
And can happen even to a strong-willed person like me.
When sadness holds you in it's grip,
Talk and share the turmoil of your trip.
Share your sadness with friends ,open up your soul,
Lowering a rope they might pull you out of this hole.
When sadness clouds your outlook on life,
Write about it ,document your trouble and strife.
Writing about it will help organise the mental clutter in your brain,
Expressing your feelings can sort them out and ease the pain.
Describe how you feel when your sad and what you think,
Write what helped you out when on the brink.
Avoid isolation when feeling sad,
For a shoulder to cry on you will be glad.
By sharing your thoughts and maybe have a good cry,
The sadness will be less overwhelming and pass you by."
