Seashells and Stars.
It may be the last time
But it is not forever …
When we take our last moonlit walk ~
Talking and laughing
While swaying our
Intertwined hands
We will arrive at the shoreline
And there we shall stand
Locked into each others eyes ~
I will catch a glint
Of my youth
In your smile
The wind will not
Come between us
As we lean in for our
Last kiss
The sun will cower
Under our love
But the moonlight
Will rise for us
Up above
We shall point
To the stars ~
I will catch ours!
And you will place
It gently
Into the pocket
Close to your heart
Every grain of sand
That tickles our toes
Will bring back the
Memories
Of when we
We’re young
Before the rain falls
I will pick you a seashell
And I will sing
I love You!
Into it’s ear
That seashell
Will be set free
When we throw it
Back into the sea
And there it will
Dance
Forever and ever!
Before swimming back
To the shore
When the time
Is right
And we are reborn
We’ll meet once again
On this golden mile
The invisible string
That I tied to your
Star
Will lead you straight back
To me
I will gift you
My seashell
And you will hear
My love song
Once more.

Lovely. looking back and looking forwards.
I really like the line 'I will catch a glint of my youth in your smile'. Something we all want to see once in a while.
