entry picture

Write Out Loud Woking is saying farewell to the Lightbox museum and art gallery, its live monthly open mic venue for the past five years. The Lightbox is being forced to make economies following Woking council’s serious financial problems.

The last Write Out Loud Woking at the Lightbox will be on Thursday 28 September starting at 7pm. Kate Noakes will be guest poet, reading from her eighth collection Goldhawk Road. Write Out Loud Woking’s organiser Rodney Wood said he was hopeful of moving to a new venue very soon.

Meanwhile Write Out Loud Woking is planning to continue its monthly readings on Zoom, compered by Rodney, and by Greg Freeman in Northumberland.
