Mellifluous Waves.

Mellifluous Waves.

The roaring wind

Has taken it’s vengeance

Invading my body

And smashing the glass cage surrounding

My fragile heart

No beseeching

No reaching arms

Can save it now

My eyes swell as I see my heart

Being carried to the ocean

I yearn for it’s return

How can I save it now!

There it is!

Captured by the elements

Washed away on the backs

Of white horses

Horses galloping to war!

My wretched skin shrinks

My knees are pulled to the ground

I am screaming

A scream without sound

As night falls

And the day limps away

My desperate screams

Turn to whimpers

The simpering sunset

Ignoring my call

Deceived

And abandoned

To the menacing

Moon ~

Surely death

Will come calling soon!

Wait!

The wind has turned ~

Darkness has been smothered

The earth twinkles

Fresh grass

Encrusted in precious jewels

The sky is yawning

Stretching as far as the eye

Can see ~

Sunrise has won

This dual

My heart has been

Returned to me

With a gentle caress

From mellifluous waves

My nightmare

Has become a dream.
