The Dawning of Trust

What was this impending change tickling the corners of my mind with excitement?

At first I thought it was something big

that would require alot of effort (and no small amount of pain and suffering)

but that would ultimately reward us with exhilarating growth.

But then I realized, no, the change I felt looming in the corners of my mind

was so simple, so quiet, so interior, and yet so profound:

A changing of the lens of our perspective from fear to trust.

This was huge, this was earth shifting,

I realized: stop absorbing all the fear percolating in the air,

stop evaluating and deciding based on fear,

turn the lens, adjust the lens, to pure expansive trust.

The joy that welled up upon this discovery was a golden state of mind,

I relaxed into its light,

stretched like a cat,

and smiled.

This poem has helped me a lot, Helene.
"The joy that welled up upon this discovery was a golden state of mind,
I relaxed into its light,
stretched like a cat,
and smiled."
