Write Out Loud Woking's open-mic night has a new home. After several successful years at the Lightbox museum and art gallery, it has moved to the new Fiery Bird community arts and live music venue, at 32 Phillips Court, Goldsworth Road. The first event will be on Thursday 30 November, starting at 7pm.

Organiser Rodney Wood, pictured, said: “Please arrive at 6.45 for a 7 start and we plan to finish no later than 9 with a break about halfway. There will be a £5 entry fee to cover the cost of the room and any guest reader we might have. The evening will take place in the cafe at the Fiery Bird venue. There is parking round the back." More details
