Spectrum
I read a book once
written by a mama
whose child was "on the spectrum"
per medical diagnosis,
and at the end of the book,
(in which the mama described her journey with her child),
the mama concluded
(the last sentence in the book)
"we are all on the spectrum."
I thought that was a wise conclusion.
Spectrum defined--
"a band of colors, as seen in a rainbow, produced by separation of the components of light by their different degrees of refraction according to wavelength"
(courtesy of Oxford Languages).
I love that definition--
colors,
rainbow,
light--
yes, that is a wonderful wavelength,
we are all on it, are we not?
(A change of direction that separates and then re-unifies perhaps?)
Labels and diagnoses can come in handy sometimes,
but really, truly,
we are all reflections
of the beautiful light
from whence we came.

I love your conclusion, Hélène. A lovely poem that gives me a warm feeling.
