this adventure has gone on 

longer than predicted 

stranger than I could’ve written 

deeper than I thought existed 

 

that fear that you thought 

was just your own 

was a type of alarm 

to let you know you’re still going on  

 

the unknown 

the only place to go 

what we’re meant to explore 

where we feel at home 

 

we’ve always felt this feeling 

always been needing 

something outside the norm

where you feel you belong

 

these experiences 

give so much fear to others 

are why I bother to call 

without as much as a pause
