Christmas Smile
I miss your Christmas Smile
I miss you all the while
Your eyes they sparkled with festive love
Now your star shines down on me from heaven above
You always celebrated in true seasonal style
I miss your Christmas Smile
Tactile and loving you covered me in kisses
I miss your Christmas Smile
Along the snowy streets and avenues I roam
Welcoming windows shine brightly and excite
There is a yuletide buzz in the crisp night air
Children play and frolic with much delight
Like a nomad I trek on with no direction
How I yearn for your love and affection
Cards are sent and presents are wrapped
The sweet voices of carol singers soar
The fire roars mince pies and mulled wine flow
Peace and goodwill to one and all forevermore
The table is set for a sumptuous feast
How I wish you would walk through the door
Your tree sits proudly in the window
With a golden star twinkling with glee
All adorned with the baubles and tinsel
You purchased in the January sales spree
I put them up to honour your memory
It saddens me that you never got to see
I miss your Christmas Smile
I miss you all the while
Your eyes they sparkled with festive love
Now your star shines down on me from heaven
above
You always celebrated in true seasonal style
I miss your Christmas Smile
Tactile and loving you covered me in kisses
I miss your Christmas Smile
