The neighbours
Mr. Goodman and Mr. Badman, neighbors they were
Living like enemies, since the day they moved in
Different cities they came from, fate brought them near
A clash of good and evil, a story to begin
Mr. Goodman, kind and humble, a heart of gold
Mr. Badman, jealous and greedy, a soul so cold
Their differences, insurmountable it seemed
Their hatred for each other, fierce and unredeemed
Mr. Goodman, tried to change Mr. Badman's way
But the evil in Mr. Badman's heart, refused to stray
Instead, he despised the goodness he saw
Swearing to turn Mr. Goodman into an evil man, just like he was, raw
Years went by, their friction still alive
But no one saw the pain, Mr. Goodman had to strive
He wanted to hide, from Mr. Badman's sight
But he always found him, causing more fight
One day, an evil thought crossed Mr. Goodman's mind
To kill Mr. Badman, and leave goodness behind
The more he struggled, the more Mr. Badman rose
And Mr. Goodman, gave up, for goodness' sake he chose
Mr. Badman, triumphant in his victory
Taunted Mr. Goodman, with such savagery
But the good man chose to stay silent
For he knew, within him, the goodness was compliant
One day, while attending to his garden flowers
Mr. Goodman heard insults, like venomous showers
Thrown by Mr. Badman, with all his might
Tears in his eyes, Mr. Goodman looked up to the light
And that was the last day, Mr. Badman survived
Within Mr. Goodman, the evilness finally died
Mr. Goodman, found peace and grace at last
His prayers, killed the badman, that was in him cast
Now, with a smile on his face, Mr. Goodman lives
The neighborhood, at peace, love it gives
The once enemies, now share a place of love
For the good within Mr. Goodman, had won the tough battle above.
