What you need to know about me.

entry picture

I have remorse, for deeds unaccomplished

I have disappointment, unfulfilled intentions wished

I have fears and worries, yet empathic for others' concerns

I have hope that previous melancholy never returns

I have sadness and anxieties, though I often appear joyous

I have the usual limitations and boundaries that annoy us

I have pride; I have shame, I’ve never been envious.

I have humility and modesty. I’m unpretentious.

I have courage and determination, and I strive to succeed

I have gratitude and admiration for those supporting my need

I have found love, lost love, then I’ve won love again

I have been bemused by who to love, why, or when.

I have known grief. I've ridden the storm of heartaches betray.

I have lost out to anger since God took my mother away

A fine, moving poem, JD, which never loses its pace.
