No More Tears

entry picture

I have got no more tears left to cry
No more pain for my soul to bear
No more strength to carry on
Just a broken heart needing repair
A head full of memories
And a never ending despair

On a forsaken planet I dwell
I am not alone all the people say
Just soldier on and time will heal
You will find peace one fine day
How long must I wait for resolution
Give me a sign show me the way

I have got no more tears left to cry
I am lost in the wilderness
Walking down a road with no direction
A never ending cycle of sheer hoplessness
Every day is a struggle and that's no lie
I have got no more tears left to cry

Hi Tom,

One of the great things about poetry in its many forms is it helps us feel not so alone (even when we perceive ourselves to be)

To know our feelings are universal is of comfort. That comfort is not always felt at the time of greatest need but often is realised upon reflection. Reading and listening to your words did remind me of that desperate feeling of being cried out. I recall it almost being a turning point, as if I could go no further. Maybe it was the point at which things turned around...I don't recall, but it's a thought.

I enjoyed the poem and your recital of it.
