Love pangs
Will you trust my words if I tell you my feelings true?
Will you laugh and mock, or feel what I'm going through?
Can you understand the depth of my emotions?
Without judgment or jest, can you sense the devotion?
This distance between us, my greatest plight,
Endured reluctantly, under the weight of night.
Mountains of understanding, guarding my heart,
Yearning for connection, though we're worlds apart.
Not seeing you, the greatest pain I bear,
Separation's lessons, I cannot repair.
Circumstances forced us to be apart,
Yet in my soul, you remain a vital part.
Your voice, the sweet music that once filled my days,
Now absent, leaving me trapped in a maze.
I patiently hope for our reunion's embrace,
But praying hasn't brought it any closer in place.
No longer do I pray for our love's union,
For it seems distant, like a fading illusion.
The more I pray, the more I'm reminded of you,
A painful reminder that my heart must subdue.
Mere words from afar cannot ease the inner ache,
I must explain to my heart, and gently make,
Peace with the fact that what's meant to be,
Will find its way, even if we cannot see.
So, sleep now, my heart, in quiet repose,
Trust that destiny's path will bring us close.
For in the vast expanse of time and space,
Love's truth will prevail, and we'll find our embrace.
