Dear Nickel,

entry picture

is that you? with your vibrant red hair,

wearing your creek trousers, meh.

your supply of love is bigger than the river nile

river nickel?

no,

you are my nickel

as hot as you can get.

some would call you,

toxic.

but to me you were an,

illusion.

we met outside of Sadbury,

a Canadian city,

the day you had me fooled.

after centuries and decades,

i realised,

you're not mine,

you're trouble.

a creek of toxic tailing wasteful mumble.

- consider a picture such as: Nickel Tailings #34 from Burtynsky's "Mines and Tailings"

a love letter written by me on the chemical and ecological truth of an unnatrual river.
