He wants his America ‘great again’

And thinks that such places are foreign and strange.

Like jailbirds whose crimes are far from mundane,

And heads of authoritarian states.

 

He won’t give a penny to help Ukraine;

He thinks it is mostly a staged event.

He tells them to shut up and take their pain,

As though they are the ones who should repent.

 

He won’t give a penny to help Ukraine;

He looks past the corpses and body bags.

Discounting the innocent victims slain,

His span of attention already flags.

 

He won’t give a penny to help Ukraine;

He thinks that the country’s a busted flush.

He’ll treat its plight with a yawning disdain

And won’t even be prepared to discuss.

 

He won’t give a penny to help Ukraine;

(He’ll tell the invader he should attack!)

When Kyiv seeks help, his message is plain:

Get on the next flight and do not come back!
