I look out of my tearful window at an angry sky

The day is lost and being consumed by the night

The rain lashes down eating up the pavements 

People run for cover in a sodden fright

A torpedo of lightning bullets the heavens

As an explosion of thunder rattles through the clouds 

The wind whips up the storm into a murderous frenzy 

As the the blackened sky resembles a corpse like shroud

A ray of brilliant sunshine escapes from the darkness

A golden glow illuminates me - have I seen the the light

Alas, yet another false dawn continues to elude me

As the rain cascades down once more with all its might
