Come back!

Honey, come back home

I’ve been alone for so long

I don’t know how to love anymore

I’ve been waiting here in the light

Could you close the door? I won't say a word.

Let me know the stars, I’ll grab your back

Just come back and let me love you one more time.

Christmas lights adorn the aisle, holding hands, cinnamon smell, snow in your hair, I feel the warmth of your chest, I would dance with you till my bones hurt, is this ice thick enough to resist our dreams? The fireworks will ignite the town, it’s a quarter til midnight, make a wish, is this over now? Would you come back?

Honey, come back home

I’ve been alone since the fall of snow

I don’t know how to laugh anymore

I’ve been waiting here in the fireplace.

I was warming my heart from the absence of your face.

I’ll grab my life now, I won’t drag you down.

Just come back and let me know this was not a lie.

Spring blooms in, the bees in the streets, the tulips adorning the pavement where we used to walk, looking at the sky, chemtrails with our names, how long will it take to fight these wars?  The wind is wild and will take away our portrait, but we already know this love withered like a peony in the autumn air, the day you preferred to take her hand.

Come back home, I need an overdose of love,

Come back, I would love you my whole life,

Come back, you are what I want,

Come back, I’ve been waiting for you my whole life.

(I wish the rain washed the colors in the frame as your voice in my head).
