The desire to be with the one, unconditionally
The desire to be chosen, unconditionally
The desire to be the one, unconditionally
The desire to be protected, fearlessly
The desire to be loved, limitlessly
The desire to be cared for, forgivingly
The desire to grow old with the one, certainly
The desire to be “we, us, our”
The desire to be fed, care for, shower
The desire to seek love, for the soul's needs,
Don’t shower me with material that the body needs,
Although the desire to be given at least a rose 🌹 not a bouquet,
Despite not being Valentine’s Day,
Tiny little surprises, that make even the mundane, a Valentine’s Day.
The desire to lean my head on your shoulder,
Even if the days are high or sober,
Not a damsel in distress,
Just soak in the moment of togetherness.
The desire to just L. I. V. E. with you, I choose you over and over,
When the day comes, I bet you, there will be waterworks all over.
Self-love is at its peak,
Yet the chair next to me is empty, aches my heart bleak.
Plead, argued and angered by The Universe’s delay,
My friend who has my back I believe,
For once we were particles separated from the bang,
Journeyed through billions of years, to find each other.
Having paid off all my dues, with nothing left in the credit, or to lose.
I deserve at least this,
No high maintenance,
As simple as it is.
Will help us to be “us”, undoubtedly, I believe,
It will work out for eternity, undoubtedly, I believe.
