I don't wanna quote books I haven't read

nor books that quote books that I haven't read

but yes I grew up with enormous expectations.

 

Now 20 years into adulthood I must admit they were right:

you set out to change the world, but

the world puts you in your place instead.

 

Thank grace for defense mechanisms, 

so I don't always have to relive all my disappointments.

 

It's not all bad though. It's just not worth looking for culprits. 

Cause you'll always find one. And vice versa. 

 

And so on and so on. Whether life is good or not is up to you, yourself and you. 

It doesn't have to be more than this, does it?
