POET WITHOUT A CAUSE
POET WITHOUT A CAUSE
I’m a Brylcreemed leather-clad Outlaw nomad
A desolate Angel on wheels of fire
The quickest fumble you’ve ever had
A kid who never knew their dad,
Now everything I do is bad.
I’m built that way just because
I’M A POET WITHOUT A CAUSE
I’m a nubile nymph in fishnet armour
A fellow feline transcending Karma
The man in the loo wearing girls disguise
A transgender bender buttoning his flies
I’m a ‘Disco Diva’ shemale sham
Still not sure who I really am
A child of the future with regressive flaws
I’M A POET WITHOUT A CAUSE
I’m a dreadlocked dub-beat Rasta man
Lost In a haze of sinsemilla
Like drum and bass from outer space
Some habits, once formed, they never leave ya!
I’m Johnny 2 Bad behind the shades
A 2 Tone-monochrome-Ace of Spades
I may not sound the way I look
And never do things by the book
A paradox with subjective clause
I’M A POET WITHOUT A CAUSE
I’m a skin head looking for someone to hate
A lone black boy to seal his fate
‘Cos I can rely on the power of the law
To understand what I’m here for!
There’s a bloke outside the takeaway
Who looks like he’s been there all day
Asking, ‘do you want a fight?’ He’ll still be there later tonight
Tomorrow he’ll be full of remorse
LIKE A POET WITHOUT A CAUSE
I’m a metaphysical one of a kind,
An abstract being in space and time
An egomaniac full of himself
Easy to see but hard to define
My philosophy is live and let live
As long as I take more than I give
They say the meek shall inherit the earth
They can have my share for what it’s worth
It’s a question of mind over matter, of course,
FOR A POET WITHOUT A CAUSE
I’m everyone you’ve ever seen and everywhere you’ve ever been
I talk the talk and walk the walk, pretending I don’t really care
Ignoring beggars like they’re not there
I blame everyone I know, and leave before they throw me out
I hardly listen and never learn; it’s safer as far as I’m concerned
I never stop! I just press pause ..........
I’M A POET WITHOUT A CAUSE
