Thieves are becoming bolder armed with weapons to assist,

With products available in so many different places,stealing them is difficult to resist.

Our nation is experiencing an epedemic of retail crime,

Visiting our town centres,I experience it all the time.

 

A young lad sprints out of an off licence store,

With a box full of free alcholic drinks,enticed to steal more.

A well dressed man loads his bag with goods off a shelf,

Keeping an eye on the staff ,capturing goods for himself.

 

Shoplifting is at a 20 year high,

With thieves of all ages giving it a try.

Generations have been taught,"Thou must not steal."

Many have to nick to plan their next meal.

 

No police presence in city centres the scoundrels to catch,

Shopkeepers suffering large losses have met their match.

Neighbourhood policing needs to be put back on the beat,

Otherwise more rising prices due to an increase in thieving we will meet.
