Cheers! A bottle of laureate's sherry is prize in libraries centenary competition

Northumberland Libraries are staging a poetry competition to mark their centenary, and the return of the Northern Poetry Library to Morpeth Library. The competition is open to Northumberland Library members and residents of Northumberland, although anyone can choose to join the library online and be eligible to enter. The deadline is 9 September, and the winner will receive a bespoke bottle of Laureate's Choice Sherry donated by the poet laureate, Simon Armitage. (A non-alcoholic alternative prize will be available too.) More details
