Dear God, At This Crossroads
Dear God,
At this moment in my life, I seek Thee,
In a journey full of bumps and bends,
Though gratitude fills my heart for health, for life,
And for this pen with which I write.
At my prime, I yearn for a breakthrough,
My heart aches with a desire so deep,
I’ve been a bridge for friends in need,
Yet none has stood by me.
Thankful for being a vessel,
I wonder why none have reciprocated,
Seeking light to guide my path,
Desperate for a major breakthrough.
My heart is weary, my body tired,
The will to continue feels almost gone,
I ask for a chance, a reason to go on,
Or else, the will to live may fade away.
Give me that chance, that glimmer of hope,
To move forward, to find my worth,
Or I fear that without it,
I may end this journey, my spirit worn.
