Autumn Memories

It's good

Just to sit here

In the sunshine.

The weather so much

Nicer,the end of August.

Just that

Touch of a br3eze,

Then it's Autumn.

I like Autumn best,

All those colours.

Whenever I see

All those leaves

On the ground,

I still can't resist

Kicking through.Time to pick up

My eldest.

Here they come,

All rushing out..

Where's mine?

There he is.

Shirt hanging out,

As usual.

Tie to one side.

Keep a firm grip

On my youngest.

Now to take them

Both home.

It's quiet now.

No sound of thunder.

It's so dark though,

IiI do like the sunshine.

The sky was so full

Of sunshine.

All those colours.

A poem that drops the reader into a moment of time in the poet's life. Weather, seasons, children, a sense of contemplation. Lovely, Ornella.

We celebrated a birthday outdoors on Saturday, a beautifully warm afternoon, then in the evening a cold wind came, and I was glad of the spare fleecie I'd brought, just in case....whoever said it was correct: "there's no such thing as bad weather, only inadequate clothing".
