Echoes beneath the Shadow of Faith

entry picture

The cooing of the dove grows fierce
Upon hearing that its land is no longer safe
Many have died without a trace
Many hearts have turned to ashes

The wind speaks to the dove,
"Do you not know, there is something that can wound without a cut?"
"Do you not know, there is something that can set hearts ablaze?"
"It has no form, yet it feels sharp.”
"It has no form, yet hearts struck by it feel the pain."
“It has no form, yet it emits a sound capable of both praise and curses."
"It has no form, yet it can take life away.”

Then, the wind tells a story
A story from a distant land,
A story of hearts that neither can be cut nor burned to ashes
It is said, “their hearts are guarded by God.”
God protects those hearts from that which has no form, yet feels sharp and gives pain.
God protects those hearts from that which has no form, yet emits a sound and can take life away.

Though He may be a figure hard to believe in, trust in Him is essential.
For it’s the only way to find Him.

With unwavering faith, the dove will find refuge and save its land.

Like Rumi. Grief can be the garden of compassion. If you keep your heart open through everything, your pain can become your greatest ally in your life's search for love and wisdom.
