Planting Hope for Tomorrow.

Planting hope for tomorrow

Tulips, daffodils, and snowdrops

Hold hope for rebirth, friendship, and love

Courage, fertility, and positivity nestled deep within the heart of these unassuming

Harbingers of change

As the earth begins to drift into silence

The gardener becomes the soothsayer of brighter days

Nurturing the land; just like a mother

Soothing her precious child to sleep

Kneeling as though to pray to the gods

With Strong bare hands scraping back the fragrant earth

The caretaker tucks the hope of tomorrow into the soft pillowy soil

Where it will wait, quietly

For the axis to to tilt in it’s favour

A promise made for the future

Will spring forth, stretching out

With a yawning whisper

To cast light upon us all

In the quiet hush of a fleeting moment

A million footsteps fall amongst the tulips

The earth shudders; dazzled by her own beauty

She takes a deep breath and blows petals

At the feet of the gardener

The gardener bows down in gratitude

Vowing to do it

Again, and again.

Thank you, Ulleam. We all need hope, it’s true. I believe gardeners are great optimists. 🤗

Thanks Clare, beautiful imagery about badly needed hope.
