Racism
In the depths of darkness, a poison's might
Fosters hate, and ignites the night
The lie of races, a myth so unkind
Leaves hearts and minds forever entwined
With every breath, a toxic seed takes hold
Inherited traits, a predetermined gold
Intellect, morality, and worth, all defined
By the color of skin, a heartless design
Institutions built, on a foundation of pain
Discrimination's chains, forever sustained in vain
Wealth, education, health, and rights, all denied
A systemic sickness, that will not subside
Critical eyes, see through the disguise so fine
A cultural invention, with no scientific shrine
Yet still it persists, this cruel, dark design
A self-inflicted wound, that refuses to align
Oh, the horror of racism's grasp so tight
A chokehold of hate, that forever takes flight
Unless we awaken, and shatter the chains so strong
And recognize our shared humanity, where love belongs
For in the end, it's not the color of skin so bright
But the content of character, that shines with all its might
So let us rise, and reject this toxic creed so bold
And build a world, where love and equality never grow old.
