Superstition
In the shadows of ignorance, a monster resides
Fear of the unknown, where superstition abides
A dark dance of dread, where reason is slain
And the absurd is embraced, like a toxic lover's refrain
Black cats prowl, Fridays loom, and ladders beckon fate
Knock on wood, toss salt, and pray to a false state
Mirrors shatter, pennies gleam, and horseshoes rust
Fingers crossed, hearts racing, in a futile trust
A fragile mind, a fragile grip, on reality's thin thread
Superstition's stranglehold, where fear is fed
A mental maze, where darkness reigns
And the lost soul wanders, in a labyrinth of pains
But still we cling, to these talismans of old
Afraid to let go, of the lies we've been told
For in the unknown, a terror resides
And superstition's cruel grasp, our sanity divides
So if you're trapped, in this web of fear and dread
Seek the light of reason, and let your mind be freed instead
For superstition's chains, are forged in the fire of ignorance and night
Break free, and shine, in the radiant light of knowledge and insight.
