The Language We All Know

Hola

Labas

Sveiki

Ahoj

Talofa

Merhaba

Salut

Oi

A flood of colours

A sea of sounds

Every kind of footstep

Forges a unique track on the ground

I believe it is true

Yet it sounds almost absurd

That one can communicate a hundred things- through their face and hands

And verbalising just a single word

Our earth is blessed with different cultures

And beautiful languages we may not know

But there is universal love and power

With a simple smile and ‘hello’

Hi Rasa -The basic way to say "hello" in Irish is dia duit (dee-ah gwit). ☘️

Thanks Rasa.
That’s very true, a language we all know.
As for:
“A flood of colours
A sea of sounds”,
You should be on our local bus on Sundays with all the African ladies in their colourful finery; it’s better than Paris fashion week!
