Responsibility
Authority's mantle weighs upon our might,
Guiding lives, shaping fate, through day and night.
Consequence's anchor holds us strong,
Accountability's voice echoes all wrong.
With power comes weight, and noble toll,
Wisdom guides, lest trust and legacy unfold.
Responsibility's throne, we sit and reign,
Shaping tomorrow, forever to remain.
How novel, the responsible parent, who thinks ahead,
Plans, saves, and builds a nest, before spawning instead.
Lovers propose with financial freedom in tow,
Not just a ring, but a secure future to show.
Unlike us, animals fetch their own daily bread,
No handouts needed, just instinct in their stead.
But humans, so advanced, reproduce with reckless flair,
And hope luck feeds the family, without a care.
In darkness, shirks the soul, that flees the light,
Evading blame, and consequence's stern might.
No anchor holds, no accountability's sway,
A reckless heart, that dances, come what may.
Devoid of duty, void of moral spine,
Irresponsibility's specter, forever entwines.
A toxic stain, that spreads, and never fades,
Leaving ruin, in its shameless shades.
