Slavery
In tedium's grasp, we languidly sway,
Enslaved by duty, night and day.
A prison of routine, sterile and grey,
Longing to escape, come what may.
Society's dictates, a ponderous weight,
Crushes the soul, with each hesitant fate.
Conformity's straitjacket, we must abate,
Lest individuality succumb to fate.
Logic's limitations, we must transcend,
Lest existential despair our hearts portend.
Empty searches, a Sisyphean trend,
Warning: awaken, lest your dreams offend.
A life unfulfilled, in lassitude's haze,
Seeking passion's spark, in wisdom's daze.
Trapped in existence, without a goal's gaze,
Slavery's many forms, your soul will amaze.
