Rape
In the darkest depths of humanity's plight
A horror lurks, a cruel, demoralizing sight
Rape, a word that echoes with pain and fear
A violation of consent, always drawing near
A man's force, without consent, a crime so vile
A woman's body, a temple, desecrated in a while
The vagina, urethra, anus, or mouth, a forced entry, a shame
A manipulation, a coercion, a cruel, demoralizing game
Against her will, without consent, a fear of death or pain
A false belief, a manipulation, a coercion, a shameful, cruel refrain
Under eighteen, unable to communicate, a vulnerability so wide
A cruel, demoralizing act, a humanity, forever defeated, and destroyed inside
Consent, a voluntary agreement, a willingness to share
A communication, verbal or non-verbal, a clear, unequivocal care
But silence, or lack of resistance, does not imply consent, it's clear
A woman's body, a temple, deserving respect, forever held dear
A medical procedure, an exception, a rare, justifiable claim
But sexual intercourse, with a wife, under fifteen, a shameful, cruel, demoralizing game
A dark, cruel, demoralizing act, a humanity, forever lost
Rape, a word, that echoes with pain, a horror, forever the cost, forever the cross

I don’t see alot of people talk about this, because it’s so horrid but this a nice poem on how sick that ‘act’ is. Thank you for having the courage to post about this topic ❤️
