Live Each Day As The Last
God presented me with a gift,
I looked at it and was surprised.
This item I couldn't manage to lift
Before I could anything realize.
Early in the morning, I made my plans.
But vanity decided to break intention.
My hopes went away with the vans.
And the prices they didn't mention.
I was quick at twenty, thirty, and so on.
I did not see the false or any fakes,
I sometimes didn't see the quiet dawn.
Or I couldn't accept the child's wakes.
God's gift gathered dust and hinted
That life is beautiful even in storms.
That a kiss of a loved one is granted
In different enjoyable forms.
But then one day I opened the present.
A fresh spring air blew at my windows.
The songs of the birds were decent,
And new trees with pleasant shadows.
But not everyone has God's present.
Sometimes life suddenly passes away.
You can a hundred times be resent,
But the name of life is a New Day.
The life runs very fast.
Live each day as the last!
