Anything more?

She spoke soft ‘’Are you ok?’’

‘’Not quite yourself today?’’

‘’ Is there anything more to do?’’

‘’To help bring yourself back to you’’

I’m not feeling so good right now

You are aware of why, and how

you’ve taken all I had, it’s gone.

One has lost, the other has won

Before: Considered our unhappy time

love was then not a pleasure, more a mime

Unappreciated, undervalued

We loved, with a singular attitude

Then one moment you said, ‘’No more.’’

Love ends, ‘no more’ was underscored

Moving on, you're starting over

Breaking up, no thoughts of waver

Papers drawn, the lawyers paid

Divorce request legally laid

Cooly sat across the table, is you

asking, “Is there anything more to do?”

Yes, give me back those fifteen years

The joys, laughter, and heartfelt tears

Give me back sweet remembrances

with love’s honeyed assurances

If possible, I'd hold you close again

to say sorry: That now, is all in vain

because the path followed has run its course.

Final destination reached: Our divorce
