Hi Reggie,

an interesting observational little piece which opens up a conversation for those interested. I hope therefore I will be forgiven for taking the bait and making comment on the subject in addition to your writing.

If you think about it Trumps rise has been the American dream fulfilled.

The Kennedy's were built on a legacy of bootlegging during prohibition, among other things. Trumps Grandfather ran a Brothel in The Klondike Gold Rush before moving to NYC to grow his fortune. Many of the so called influencial families of the US benifitted from the slave trade as did many of the UK's.

Our own Kings and Queens in the UK came from families that grabbed land and wickedly killed their enemies. There is very little new under the Sun.

I do believe Trump is fulfilling The American Dream. What The Founding Fathers might say is another matter.

It will be interesting to see how Trump manouvers around Israel and Russia. I would not be surprised if Putin comes to a deal with him over some resolution in Ukraine for which he can take credit, after which Putin will have him even more firmly in his pocket.

Let us not forget that Trump oversaw the signing of The Abraham Accords and moved the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem...all this gave greater confidence to Israel to act however it wished in the region, no suprise that after 7 Oct massacre that they had a green light for unbridled annihilation.

As for Israel, well it's going to be a bad time to be Palestinian (no change there).

David

PS, whatever you think the American people voted for Trump. If you are a proponent of Democracy that has to be ackowledged and accepted.

I've been saying it for years:
The "American Dream" is becoming a nightmare.
God Help America! is now their song.
