A Single Man

A single man,

Adrift at sea,

Treading water.

 

If he calls 

And no one hears him,

Did he make a sound?

 

And navy seals

Guard his perimeter 

Against the slaughter.

 

He sets forth in a straight line,

Sooner or later, land will be found.
