Wahwahwah

Wahwahwah

Perhaps the universe is mistaken
maybe there’s  a quality control issue
that goes all the way to the top

after billions of years of deregulation
it could be that more than a few things
have been gotten wrong

have you looked at the stars lately
don’t they seem a little off
why is gravity always against us

are bacteria coming out on top
what’s love like in other galaxies
or more importantly, the music

I tell you one thing customer service
is lousy-a lot of prayers,
dreams, and hopes get completely lost

This poem makes me think of "existential angst." As in, dang, something's amiss in life on this planet. Well written and a captivating read, Robert.
