Misfortune
Letting someone else's light shine brighter than mine, isn't such a prideful crime,
I should listen to what people have to say, to have the attitude of 'come what may',
Speaking my mind being always kind, the truth is what I then, shall find,
I think, I think, I think too much, I would rather not about such and such,
I learned to appreciate from a distance, family and friends, I love within an instance,
Wanting every day to be someone who is fairer, I look to my sister, who is many a time a sharer,
It seems I could cry and cry, I look above to the sky, remembering to hold my head high oh high,
To love and to lose are not so different things, both of which, need the spreading of wings,
Those who take you for your own can be friends for life; however the words of an enemy can have your back to a knife,
The wrong love can be misleading, have you on your knees, pleading pleading.
