NEW MUSIC ALBUM: WACHEFELD by THE CROWS OF ALBION
The observant amongst you will no doubt have seen my latest poems being posted as music tracks. That's because I've rewritten a number of poems that I had previouly posted about my home city of Wakefield and added music. I've done this alongside a brilliant guitarisr/instrumentalist, John Kettle, from indie/folk band Merry Hell.
There's a range of music styles on the album - and although the subject matter is based on Wakefield the themes are universal - people, history, trades, legends, nightlife, food and drink etc.
It's available to listen to for free on the following link - where it can also be downloaded or ordered as a CD. I'm also releasing a book alongside the release - with the lyrics + additional poems I didn't 'convert' and a full reference section explaining the themes and references mentioned in the songs. The book is also available via the link.
It would be great if you could give the album a listen - and even better if you could buy a copy of the download/CD and/or book.
I've still a few to post this year - and then I'll be back to posting new poetry in 2025.
Thanks for all your support - and a massive thanks to those who have commented and encouraged me along with 'like' and comments.
