" Justice For Sale "
A monetary fine, a punishment unique,
Justice is skewed, a weight on the weak.
A fine is the sentence, a price to be paid,
For the poor, it's a crime, their pockets are frayed.

Thanks Sourajit. So much truth in so few lines.
Here in the UK, ermin-clad and grandly-titled politicians who have defrauded the public purse of millions, get away scot-free on yachts bought from the proceeds;
all at the same time as my daily routine means I have to walk past the homeless forced to sleep on our streets.
When asked: "who voted for this system?", no-one of course, will have the guts to put their hands in the air and say, "I did"!
