VIBRATIONS in the MEMORY

“Beauty is no quality in things themselves: It exists merely in the mind which contemplates them; and each mind perceives a different beauty.”
David Hume, Of the Standard of Taste

There is no taste in memory
just random acts of preference
often involving money
(some say aesthetic value
but it amounts to the same thing)
people are units of labor
wealth units of capital
in this new cacaphony
the loudest is the best
no room for prevarication here
just random acts of terror fear
as people disappear
in the DNA of the everyday
the old just fade away,
in humans en masse
the future comes to pass
so nothing lasts.
