Although various downbeat days have stood

on my feelings toes

and many others have given me the impression

that my failed body to be perchance could soon be dead

or perhaps disowned by my own hand instead

there are some that stay peace-still 

and help to cushion my minds repose

 

Some in the distance I have yet to espy

hopefully brimmed with hope and fortune full

and if health is kind and to the grave I feel no pull

then shall the troubles of such a journey

relent and quietly die
