Let’s Fly to the Moon.

entry picture

Grandma
I’m going to make a camper van space rocket
We can paint it indigo
and violet

We can visit South America
Spain, and the moon!
We will fly to the sun
But don’t worry
We can put deflectors on it
So we won’t burn

We won’t need wheels
It will just transform
I will need a big tool box
Some metal and some
Paint that won’t peel

Grandma, do you want to help me?
We can paint the inside
In black and white stripes
And we can leave for the moon
Tomorrow night!

Thank you Clare.
For anyone interested, an up-ended cardboard box about 5 feet tall does a pretty good job, and it's easy to put windows and doors in. Last year, our little one got to the moon and back in no time at all!

This is lovely, Clare. I remember some innocent childhood days when I really believed I could launch a satellite into space from our garden. Who knows, perhaps I did!
