"Trapped in Obligation"

Doors of freedom swing, yet duties hold us tight,
Marriage, children, and time, a lifelong, endless fight.
Responsibilities' dark weight, crushes our deepest desire,
A prison of obligation, where dreams and hope expire.

Yet, a warrior's spirit remains, a flame that still burns bright,
Fueling a silent rebellion, against the darkness of night.
With every breath, a vow is made, to shatter the chains that bind,
A slow-burning fire, that will one day leave the ashes of obligation behind.

I too believe the same, however the poetry above is in relation to SPONGES, EXTRACTORS, CLEVER MANIPULATORS, ETC which we have all encountered at some point of time in our life. @ Uill

Thanks, Sourajit.
I personally, don't view obligation as a prison: it's something that gives me purpose and meaning in life, which binds me to family, friends and wider society.
