"Tainted Humanity"
Dogs, innocent hearts, that humanize our soul,
A child's laughter echoes, as friendship makes them whole.
But fear and hatred creep, in twisted, tainted guise,
A rascal's warning whispers, "Beware, a dirty, biting surprise."
A chance to redeem, still lingers, a glimmer of hope's light,
But when an adult's lips curl, in contempt and endless fight,
"You need to shoot... these beasts," the words, a fatal, final blow,
A heart, forever lost, to empathy's gentle glow.
The man has failed, a pity, a sorrow, beyond repair,
A soul, forever tainted, by hatred's dark, endless snare.
Dogs, once a bridge to humanity, now a distant, fading light,
Leaving only shadows, of a love, that could have been, a guiding sight.
